Newport Meat Company has created a premium veal program with a group of family farmers in Eastern Pennsylvania. Each farm raises less than 200 calves, and must undergo a comprehensive grower certification program. This program is designed to provide the best practices that will deliver unmatched quality.
Animal welfare is at the forefront of Newport Pride Veal. All calves are raised under a monitoring program endorsed by Dr. Temple Grandin. The animals are housed in spacious facilities providing sunlight, fresh air, and a comfortable clean environment. The calves are able to interact and co-mingle with each other as they thrive on high quality feed. A certified veterinarian monitors calves consistently and each family farm is audited on a regular basis to ensure that the standards of the program are upheld.
